چکیده

Hamstring tightness is a feeling that often felt by futsal players, which can interfere with performance during playing. Previous studies suggest stretching solve it. However, hamstring associated weakness, so strengthening exercises are required to treat Strengthening consist of concentric and eccentric exercises, differ in the direction muscle contraction. This study aimed observe effect concentric, eccentric, on length, endurance, power following tightness. 49 players who experienced participated this study. Participants were divided into three groups consisting Nordic Exercise (NHE), Leg Curl (LCE), control group (CTRL) - only did exercises. The carried out for 6 weeks, times per week. sit reach test, Passive Knee extension Single leg bridge dynamometer tests used determine changes before after One-way ANOVA was performed compare between groups. All participants found be good category (28.78±5.53 cm) test had low (39.13±16.77) intervention series. shown not significantly different (p>0.05) as well ROM. Single-leg bridging differed (p<0.05).This suggests tight correlated length. Concentric exercise increased strength more than stretching. While endurance muscle.

Hamstring muscle tightness. Reliability of an active-knee-extension test.

The purpose of this study was to examine intratester reliability of a test designed to measure tightness in the hamstring muscles. The test measures the angle of knee flexion with a pendulum goniometer after active knee extension with the hip stabilized at 90 degrees flexion. The angle of knee flexion represents hamstring tightness. After an instruction session for the subjects, the hamstring m...

Hamstring tightness and sciatica in young patients with disc herniation.

We evaluated the nerve roots of the cauda equina by CT myelography in 36 patients aged from 11 to 19 years with lumbar disc herniation. On straight-leg-raising tests, six younger patients had isolated hamstring tightness with no sciatica (group A) and 30 had sciatic pain (group B). CT myelography showed that no patient in group A had associated nerve-root swelling, and that the roots were displ...

Muscle activation during various hamstring exercises.

The dorsal muscles of the lower torso and extremities have often been denoted the "posterior chain." These muscles are used to support the thoracic and lumbar spine and peripheral joints, including the hip, knee, and ankle on the dorsal aspect of the body. This study investigated the relative muscle activity of the hamstring group and selected surrounding musculature during the leg curl, good m...

Hamstring activation during lower body resistance training exercises.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to evaluate differences in hamstring activation during lower body resistance training exercises. This study also sought to assess differences in hamstring-to-quadriceps muscle activation ratios and gender differences therein. METHODS A randomized repeated measures design was used to compare six resistance training exercises that are commonly believed to t...
